Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® Classes

Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® class is a fun and effective 4 week stroller class that allows new moms to get a great workout AND attend to your baby�s needs at the same time. 
 
Stroller Moves® classes offer a full body workout that combines cardiovascular exercise, resistance training along with postnatal core and flexibility exercises.  
 
Spend quality time with your baby in the company of other new moms while you lose inches and burn calories. 
 
The rhythm and pace of this class is uplifting and entertaining.  
 
Learn copyrighted songs and exercises to do with your baby all while working out. 
 
Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® classes are located on the Upper West Side and Upper East Side of Central Park, in Riverside Park and downtown in Battery Park.  
 
New moms should be 4+ weeks postpartum (6 weeks for caesareans). All fitness levels are welcome. This class is designed for pre-mobile babies.
 
 
Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® class includes:

CENTRAL PARK - UPPER WEST SIDE - OUTDOOR CLASS
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, at 10am
, we meet just inside the 81st street entrance to Central Park at 81st Street and Central Park West. Each session runs for four weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins September 2014.

CENTRAL PARK - UPPER EAST SIDE - OUTDOOR CLASS
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons, at 2pm
, we meet near the main entrance to the Reservoir at 90th Street and 5th Ave directly across from the Engineer�s (or, more commonly, Runner�s) Gate. Each session runs for four weeks and includes three classes per week. Classes are 55 minutes in length. The next session begins September 2014.

RATES
Rates for the four week session are only $299. Each four week Stroller Moves® session includes three classes per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) for a total of 12 classes.

Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® Instructor Profiles

JASON KEIGHER began his pre/post natal fitness career over twelve years ago with Equinox Fitness Clubs and spent over five years employed as a personal trainer at Reebok Sports Club/NY. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in management and marketing from Touro College in 1998.
 
Jason is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor; by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); as well as by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist (CES), performance enhancement specialist (PES), senior fitness specialist (SFS) and women's fitness specialist (WFS).
 
Jason personally trained under Julie Tupler and holds a certificate that qualifies him to teach the Tupler Technique (the ONLY research based program proven to effectively treat a diastasis recti). He is certified by Annie Martens to teach Bella Bellies® Prenatal Pilates and Stretch, Momilates® Pilates for Mommies and Stroller Moves® classes. Additionally, he is certified by The Sports Club/LA as a pre/post natal specialist and an integrated flexibility specialist. Jason is also a certified Power Plate, TRX and Kettlebell Instructor. He has earned his CPR and AED certifications from the American Heart Association.
 
Jason's specialties include pregnancy related weight loss/gain, body toning and shaping, strength and flexibility training, diastasis rehabilitation, pre/post natal postural correction, core and pelvic floor strengthening, Pelvic Pain (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) and high risk/multiples prenatal workouts. He is available for prenatal and postpartum personal training in your home, office, park or private gym throughout New York City.

Postnatal Boot Camp - Stroller Moves® Frequently Asked Questions

What is the sign up process? 
Go to the registration page and fill out the form. After filling out the registration form we'll contact you to schedule your consultation. 
 
What kinds of moms attend Stroller Moves® classes? 
Stroller Moves® is designed for moms of all fitness levels. You don't have to be fit to start. If you are recovering from a C-section or an episiotomy we may require you to contact your doctor for a medical clearance.  
 
Where and when do we meet you for each class?  
Central Park, Upper West Side, Stroller Moves® class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10am just inside the 81st street entrance to Central Park at 81st Street and Central Park West.
 
Central Park, Upper East Side, Stroller Moves® class meets Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons at 2pm near the main entrance to the Reservoir at 90th Street and 5th Ave directly across from the Engineer�s (or, more commonly, Runner�s) Gate.
 
Riverside Park Stroller Moves® class meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 2pm in Riverside Park at 72nd Street.
 
Battery Park Stroller Moves® class meets Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at 10:00am in Battery Park near Warren Street.  
 
What do I need to wear/bring to class? 
You will need to bring running shoes, a good sports bra, your baby, stroller, diaper bag, blanket, workout towel, exercise mat, one pair of 5-8lbs hand weights, exercise tubing and lots of water. 
 
What about bad weather? 
In the event of severe thunderstorms, lightning, extreme heat or cold Stroller Moves® classes will be cancelled. We run classes outdoors so dress you and your baby appropriately!  
 
How soon can I join Stroller Moves® after I have my baby? 
For vaginal births, we recommend 4+ weeks for most women but you need to ask your doctor. In addition, your lochia (postpartum bleeding) should be finished.
 
For Casearean Births, women should be at least 6 weeks postpartum and have a medical clearance from their doctors.  
 
Do I need a special stroller for Stroller Moves® classes? 
No. You do not need a jogging stroller as we do not jog or run with babies in the stroller.  
 
What forms of payment do you accept? 
We accept cash and checks. 
 
Is there a refund policy? 
If you are unable to attend class because of a medical issue, and have a doctors letter, we will give you credit towards another class run by the same instructor. This credit is nontransferable, and must be used within 6 months with the same instructor. There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable.
